Athens, Ga., country singer Corey Smith makes his first appearance on Mountain Stage, recorded live on the campus of West Virginia University in Morgantown. After nearly a decade of playing bars and clubs in and around his native Georgia, Corey Smith has built a voracious following through relentless gigs and innovative promotion ? all without the help of a traditional record label or agent. He was recently named "One to Watch" by the magazine Country Weekly.

Smith plays five songs from his road tested catalog, including "Maybe Next Year," and "If I Could Do It Again." He closes with the crowd favorite "Twenty-One," a song he has been performing for more than seven years, but recently re-recorded for his forthcoming album, Broken Record, which is slated for release in June.
