Saluki Athletics to hold fourth-annual Military Appreciation Day versus Indiana State

CARBONDALE, Ill. - Saluki Athletics and the Grassy Lake Hunting Club announced that Friday's men's basketball game versus Indiana State will be the school's fourth-annual Military Appreciation Day.

All military personal, veterans and family members can purchase discounted tickets to the game for $10. Tickets may be purchased in advance or on the day of the game. Military identification (Military ID, DD214, service photo) is required to receive the discount.

Special activities will include Presentation of Colors and halftime recognition of wounded warriors from Southern Illinois University and the 101st Airborne Division from Fort Campbell, Ky., as well as World War II veterans.

In addition, the Grassy Lake Hunting Club is sponsoring the third-annual Wounded Warrior Duck Hunt on Friday and Saturday. Prior to the hunt, wounded warriors will have lunch with the local Veterans of Foreign Wars chapter in Vienna on Friday, while Saturday's lunch will be hosted by Chancellor Dr. Rita Cheng and Director of Athletics Mario Moccia.
