Interacting on the Internet ?

Technology is constantly changing and businesses use this to their advantage. Social media is a great way for businesses to do advertising and most of the time it is free. Websites like Facebook and Twitter are easy for businesses to get the word out about new products or events without having to pay for advertising space. From the Criswell and Martin article trends in technology could help businesses continue and improve. Collaboration nation is something that I feel is very beneficial for business and something they should watch out for and implement. This was also talked about in McKinsey?s ?How Businesses are using web 2.0.?, both of these articles emphasize collaboration. Collaboration can be web services, peer to peer, networking, blogs, podcast, and online social networks. It allows businesses to create a relationship with their customers to hear feedback and opinions. This not only makes the customers happy that they are being heard, but gives the businesses ideas and suggestions on how to improve or stay the same. I think this trend of collaboration in technology is definitely one to watch out for, and not just for businesses but, all over the internet. People have begun to create relationships over concepts that they have in common. Take blogs for example, some one will create a blog about Los Angeles fashion, this opens doors to others who are interested in the same thing and might even open doors to business opportunities or other networking. Being interactive and involved is a huge part of the Internet and beneficial for businesses. It seems at this point we have reached the end for collaboration online, we have our comment boxes, ability to ?tag? people, join groups etc, What more can be done to make the internet more interactive?
