Leading industrial company providing turn-key engineering, general construction, electrical and instrumentation services for heavy industrial industries has openings for Multiple Professional Positions at their Odessa, TX office.
Staff Electrical Designer -- 10 or more years' experience. Desire experience in the design of electrical and control system installations in industrial settings, particularly in gas plants, compressor stations, petroleum refineries, and chemical plants. Familiarity with the National Electrical Code as it pertains to hazardous area occupancies and the API standards for installations in hydrocarbon facilities is required. Experience in the use of AutoCAD for design drawing creation is required. Two year degree or equivalent military experience desired in electrical or instrumentation design technology. Occasional jobsite travel required.
Payroll Supervisor --Manage and lead staff to provide accurate and timely processing of payroll and payroll information. Reconcile payroll accounts with internal accounting billings reports, parent company, etc. Responds to inquiries regarding payroll related policies and contracts. Responsible for employee selection, performance appraisals, and disciplinary actions. Prepare wage related corporate tax payments and returns and assure accuracy. Verify and prepare special payments to courts, union locals, etc. Prepare and review (for accuracy) payroll journals, vouchers and general ledger entries. Bachelor's Degree in Business or Accounting. Five (5) or more year's payroll Experience. Three (3) or more year's supervisory experience.
Accountant --Perform various accounting functions as needed in accordance with GAAP. Make journal entries for a multi-company operation. Understand basic business functions such as billing, payroll, cash management and job cost to include understanding how they impact the General Ledger. Performing various high level computer related functions such as spreadsheets, report writing and graphs. Must have the ability to understand and implement operational budgets and generate comparative reports against actual performance. Perform analytical work against the General Ledger to support the annual audit process Perform other duties as assigned. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. Four (4) years accounting experience.
