From her first appearance on MTV's 16 & Pregnant, Catelynn Lowell's story has been a bit different from the rest of the cast. Not only was she was the sole teen to give her baby up for adoption, she's also the only one who has remained with her boyfriend of the time, Tyler. While Catelynn calls Tyler her soulmate, she says not to expect wedding bells any time soon. "We're too young!" she says. TVGuide.com caught up with the 19-year-old about her relationship with Tyler, how she's handling the decision to give up Carly and which fellow Teen Mom cast member she's closest with.
TVGuide.com: Does the decision to give up Carly become easier with time?
Catelynn: Honestly, yes, it does get easier ... knowing how old she is and the people that she's with. I still have my hard days too, but it's easier than when 16 and Pregnant happened.
TVGuide.com: How are things between you and your mom?
Catelynn: Me and my mom are definitely still a work in progress. We talk more because we're trying to get our communication better with each other, but it's still a little rocky.
TVGuide.com: What's the key to you and Tyler having a successful relationship?
Catelynn: Communication. We're just so open with each other and we tell each other how we feel. When Tyler and I get mad we don't really fight, we sit down and talk about it and say how we're feeling and listen to each other. And it's weird, but I always say I found my soulmate at such a young age.

TVGuide.com: Do you think you would've lasted as a couple had you kept Carly?
Catelynn: The adoption made me and Tyler stronger as a couple, which is beating statistics because even people who go through adoption usually break up. Tyler told me that when I had Carly and he saw me with her in the hospital room that was the first day he fell in love with me.
TVGuide.com: Is a wedding in the near future?
Catelynn: It's definitely not. We just want to wait. We're too young, we're only 19. We want to wait until we're out of college.
TVGuide.com: Your situation is different from Maci, Amber and Farrah, but is there one girl you're closest with?
Catelynn: I'm closest with Amber. I relate with her because of her home life and the way she was raised. She'll tell you how she feels, she's just truthful, so me and her get along because of that. She is awesome, I love her.
TVGuide.com: Have you been in touch with her through her recent troubles?
Catelynn: I don't get too deep into her personal life, but people make mistakes. She's working on it, she's learning from them. Amber is smart and she's going to get there one day.
TVGuide.com: Where do you see yourself in the next five to 10 years once Teen Mom is over?
Catelynn: I'm going to get my degree to be a teacher for preschool through eighth grade and I'm going to take sign language classes so I can teach deaf children. I'm also going around preaching the word about adoption and going to schools and churches and pretty much being an advocate for adoption and protection.
